American Airlines Center Parking: Lots, Prices, and the DART Shortcut

Everything you need for a Mavericks or Stars game, or a Victory Park concert — updated for every event.

American Airlines Center sits at 2500 Victory Ave, Dallas, TX 75219, in the Victory Park neighborhood just north of downtown. Unlike AT&T Stadium or Globe Life Field, AAC has real public transit sitting almost on top of it — which changes the whole calculus on whether you should even drive. If you do decide to drive, reserve your spot on SpotHero ahead of time rather than risk the gate price.

Skip the car: DART Victory Station

The DART Green and Orange lines stop at Victory Station, a 2-minute walk directly adjacent to the arena. Trains run seven days a week, roughly every 10–20 minutes. Riding the Red or Blue line? Transfer to Green or Orange at West End Station. Round trip runs about $3 — cheaper than parking, and you skip the post-event exit entirely.

Coming from Fort Worth or points west, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) also reaches Victory Station — but TRE doesn’t run on Sundays unless specifically announced, so double-check before a Sunday game.

If you’re driving: lot prices at a glance

Lexus Garage (premium, closest): $30–$40 at the gate, or less in advance through SpotHero; opens at noon on event days; 50 Lexus-only priority spots, first-come first-served
Gold Lot / Comerica Garage (mid-tier): $25–$35
Victory Park garages (5-min walk): $15–$25 — usually $5–$10 cheaper than Lexus Garage
West End garages (8–12 min walk): $10–$20
F-Lot: no parking pass needed — pay by credit card on arrival

Regular-season Mavericks or Stars weeknight games sit at the lower end of these ranges. Playoff games and major concerts push every tier toward the top. All AAC-managed lots and garages open 2 hours before the event and close 2 hours after — no overnight parking, no in-and-out privileges.

Rideshare pickup

The primary rideshare zone is on the north side of the arena, often directed to Valor Place on the west side; some events route pickup near Olive Street and Houston Street instead. Lyft is the official rideshare partner of AAC. Always confirm the exact pin in your app on event night — drop-off points can shift for large events. Victory Park’s grid layout disperses traffic better than most NBA arenas, so pickup here tends to move faster than you’d expect.

No tailgating — here’s what locals do instead

Tailgating is not permitted in any AAC-managed lot or garage — no grilling, open flames, food prep, or alcohol consumption, enforced at all times. Victory Park is a built-up urban footprint with no surface lots for it anyway. Instead:

  • Victory Park restaurants: 20+ options within two blocks — sports bars, brewpubs, sit-down spots, many running game-night happy hour specials from 4–7 PM
  • AT&T Discovery District: a free outdoor space nearby with big screens showing Mavericks/Stars games — good pre-game atmosphere without a reservation

Accessible parking

Disabled parking spaces are located in Lot F and the Lexus Garage.

Coming Up at American Airlines Center

[Update this block with the next Mavericks/Stars home game or concert, including date, opponent or act, and tip-off/showtime — Mavs and Stars seasons both start in the fall, so this section will get its first real test once the 2026–27 schedules drop.]

FAQ

Is DART really faster than driving? For most fans coming from downtown, Uptown, or anywhere near a Green/Orange line stop — yes. No traffic, no exit bottleneck, and Victory Station is a 2-minute walk from the arena.

Can I tailgate at AAC? No — it’s prohibited in every AAC-managed lot at all times. Victory Park restaurants are the local substitute.

What’s the cheapest way to park if I’m driving? West End garages, $10–$20, with an 8–12 minute walk.

Does the Lexus Garage really require a Lexus? The 50 priority spots do, on a first-come, first-served basis. The garage itself still has standard paid parking for everyone else.
